Spring Poem

Goodbye big green coat.

You’ve been a faithful friend

Goodbye fireplace

I am saddened by our end

Goodbye winter tires

You brought my babies home

Goodbye gray skies

Under you I will not roam

Hello grass

Soon your green will fill our land

Hello neighbors

It’s been months since we shook hands

Hello birds on the tree

Your song calls me out of doors

Hello sun in the sky

Your touch leaves wanting me more

Goodbye Winter.  Hello Spring.

Back to life the season brings.
