If Things Didn't Go Wrong

Well.... if things didn't go wrong, there would be no stories to tell.  With that said, there are many stories to tell about trying to get to South Africa.  We ran across airports on three continents.  We had flights delayed, flights missed, bookings cancelled, and bags lost.

But, as with life, there is light in the midst of darkness.  Opportunities to respond with grace under great duress.  Time for conversation and friendship.  And even the chance to experience the wonderful city of London.

So... we finally land.  We get underground.  And what do I do on my first morning?  Well, they drive on the opposite side of the road here.  And I got behind the wheel with confidence.  And then promptly crashed into the curb and blew all the tires on the passenger side of the car.  Yeah.  This happened.

So.... we are in Africa.  And it is crazy.  And it is great.  I will send word tomorrow about the beauty.  Just wanted to send word about the ugly.

We are doing well.  We are working hard.  And our hearts are being broken.  Thanks for praying for us.  Your prayers brought us all the way to South Africa.
